On the occasion of World Environment Day, let’s remember the great man’s words, and take a moment to discuss the need of the hour - A Circular Economy.
It’s an economic system in which raw materials, components and products lose their value as little as possible. In simple words, creating sources of energy by making effective use of industrial and domestic waste.
The COVID-19 pandemic has uncovered the importance of conservation of the environment. Yes, earth is healing itself now but as far as industries go, a circular economy is exactly what the world needs.
Instead of take-make-waste, we need to make-best-out-of-waste.
At Detox group, we have over two decades of experience in management and scientific disposal of industrial hazardous/non-hazardous waste. With evolving times, our impetus is on finding ways to conserve resources and offset fuel.
We have been passionate contributors to a circular economic system that benefits mankind, as well as mother nature. Along with the environmental benefits, a circular economy also stimulates innovation, boosts economic growth, and creates jobs.
Countries like Denmark, Netherlands, and Sweden have been strong advocates of a circular economy. While Denmark’s aim is to recycle 50% of all household waste by 2022, Sweden aims to recycle 85% of paper-based packaging materials by 2021.
For consumers, a circular economy not only provides durable products but also improves quality of life. Industries need to progress with sustainable development, and to achieve that, strict adherences on policies need to be implemented.
A circular economy won’t just improve our present, but will have a humongous impact on our future generations. They’ll live in a world where resources are conserved, nature is nurtured, and the economy is robust.
This World Environment Day, let’s embrace a circular economy and pledge to take care of the Earth.
After all, Earth is the only thing we all have in common.
